Hello, new to site...
I have a Trane XV90 furnace. Ever since new, it will occasionally start, then stop suddenly. When I check the error coded (by power cycling it and watching the LED, it shows one or two groups of four flashes, which the manual says is an 'Open Temperature Limit Switch' which I interpret to mean the unit is overheating.
The dealer has replaced the switch/sensor. The filters are new, and yet the problem continues.
I've read through old forums and posts. Most people seem to have a similar problem that shuuts the unit down altogether, which is not the case with me. They also seem to have problems with the AC Aframe being clogged, but I have no AC.
The only thing I can think of is that there is a humidifier which is not currently in use. Could this cause a blockage ?
Any other suggestions ?

Hum has nothing to do with this problem. If the HI limit switch disrupts the furnace working, I'd say you've got a malfunctional Hi limit. Check it first.
I like fixing everything.

That was my initial reaction as well, but as I said, they've replaced the Temp Limit switch...
