Hi, Let me start by saying I am an ASE certified master technician, you know, cars and trucks. I am working on my furnace, you turn it on and it doesnt ignite. The small fan comes on but no red glowing ignitor. I bled any air out. I have 28 VAC at the red wire at the smart valve. I have 28VAC between both blue wires and the black wire at the ignitor. Resistance between the two blue wires is 3.40 ohms. My gut tells me its the ignitor but I dont have any gas flow out of the smart valve to the ignitor. Please help..

forget the matter of gas. Now you should focus on ignition. You've got resistance on the ignitor. That's good. But that doesn't guarantee the ignitor is good or not. Other than ignitor, you need check the wire connection. Remove the ignitor and inspect its integrity precisely.

I like fixing everything.

Got it, I will check it out. So if I understand the system, the ignitor has to start glowing to allow gas to get to the pilot?

the sequence is: thermostat calls for heat, ventor runs, ignitor glows, gas valve opens and fires, blower runs.

I like fixing everything.
