Recently I replaced an old Honeywell ChronoTherm with a Honeywell RTH6300B, wired to an apartment convector (blows air past cold water in summer, warm water in winter).

Red wire to R terminal (jumped to Rc)
Blue wire to Y terminal
White wire to W terminal (jumped to G)
System Type Settings 1-0, 3-0, 5-5

This configuration worked fine for cooling. However on heat cycle it will not power on, either in AUTO or fan ON mode. I can get it to power on by shorting Y and R terminals so no electrical problems.

Am I missing something about the settings? Something incompatible about this model with a convector?

Thanks,

W is not supposed to be connected with G. G is fan terminal.

I like fixing everything.
