Hi,
I have a Carrier Crusader that is having a problem. When power is applied and the door limit switch is closed, everything works great for about 100 sec. Then the unit just shuts down. Reset the power or cycle the limit switch and it does the same thing over again. I do hear a slight hum when it shuts down, like a motor wanting to turn but not able to.Any suggestions would be helpful.

So the burners light but the fan does not come on, so its overheating tripping the high limit swtich, the hum is the sound of the motor trying to turn over. Also check your air filter(every month)
