Tempstar heat pump- outdoor unit is clicking and the thermostat aux heat light is blinking in unison. I replaced the clicking unit(defrost relay I think) and it still clicked so I checked the incoming voltage to it(duh, should have done that first) and it is fluctuating so is it the thermostat that is bad (calling for aux heat when it shouldn't) or is it more likely the defrost board or defrost thermostat that is bad since the outside air temp is well above freezing?
