Hello,

I am replacing my old White Rodgers 1F56-301 (model info: http://www.white-rodgers.com/wrdhom/pdfs/instruction_sheets/0037-5327.pdf ) model w/ Ritetemp 6025
(product info: http://www.ritetemp-thermostats.com/6025.html ).

Following wires were pulled from the old T stat.

W Heat Control
Y Cool Control
G Fan Control
RC which is what is giving me problems.

Red wire is connected to RC and then a another wire is linked from RC to 4. Now how do I go about hooking these wires up to my new unit.

Hi,
Ritetemp is garbage. White Rodgers is good brand.
Did you turn the power off to the system when you worked on 'stat?

returned it got a honeywell that had the RC and RH connected together out of the box. Everything is working fine so i hope that was the end of my T stat problem.
