I have a trane furnance that is blinking 6 times, I know this means that there is a poor ground or 115 vac reversed polarity, only thing is I have not done any electrical work in my home and not sure how to fix it. any ideas as to what happened..it just started doing this, It turns on but only blows cold air. thanks sharon

there is a on-off switch on the furnace.turn it off and wait a few minutes then turn it back on.if that doesnt work then call for service.could be a bad circuit board or a loose wire

Thanks mike I tried what you suggested but still didnt work guess I am going to have to call for service...thanks for your input
