Help - I have an old Trane Thermostat 3AATBOB1A1 that is being used on a Trane Heat Pump and AC Unit. It has the following wires hooked up on the thermostat: R,T,O,G,Y,X2,B,W

I want to replace that with a new Honeywell RTH7000 programmable thermostat. Problem is it has: C,G,Y,O/B,RC,R,(RC & R are currently jumpered) AUX,E,L for connections.

Can anyone tell me what where and what wires to connect to the Honeywell configuration?

Thanks in advance!

David

R = Rc & R
T = tape off this wire, your new stat does not require this thermistor for heat control.
O = O/B
G = G
Y = Y
X2 = E
B = C
W = Aux

Place a jumper between Aux and E if a wire isn't connected to each.

Color codes vary.

Your new stat must also be configured to match your system. Set option 170 to 7
190 = 0
