Hi,
I need some help.

How do I wire my thermostat or heat pump so that it will use my oil boiler as backup? The duct work has a radiator heat exchanger all plumb into my boiler. I would like to know where the boiler's two wires for the zone valve is electrically wired into the thermostat or in the heat pump air handler. The thermostat is a Honeywell RTH7500, 7-day programmable.

Also, is there a way to have it switch between the heat pump and the oil boiler at a certain temperature? For example, it will automatically run the heat pump if the outside temperature is 40 degrees or warmer. It will switch to oil heat if the outside temperature drops below 40 degrees.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Phil
