Sirs,

I have a Honeywell forced air gas furnace with electronic ignition that worked two nights ago but, not today. The system ignites the 'pilot flame' but not the main burner. The pilot flame remains lit for ~90 secs before being turned off and the induction motor keeps running continuously. The module is sending 24 volts from PV while pilot flame is lit but 0 volts from MV. However, the main burner will ignite if I jump the PV to MV leads at the gas valve. Once the main burner ignites the MV reads 24 volts. Your thoughts?

Thank you,

Patrick

With pilot lit, you jumper the PV to the MV terminals and the MV opens, allowing the main burners to ignite. Then, if you remove the PV to MV jumper you now have 24 volts (presumabe coming from the ignition control) at the MV terminals.... correct?

Make and model of the furnace and ignition control. Make and model of the gas valve. Curious problem... try turning the furnace off for 5 minutes and back on.
