Make a long story short I replaced my old mercury auto ac/heat unit. When I installed new therm. and tested it the heat didn't work it just blew. Once I realized I had 2 stage I installed the proper therm. and the heat works with both stages hooked up. I have a 2 stage heater why did the air never get hot with just stage 1 or W1 hooked up and W2 unhooked? Could I have a strip out? How do you test one? I have a digital multi meter. I work on cars replacing O2 sensor wiring, stereo installs, tracing hot wires out of radios, and helped a friend replace his electrical panel. So i have some hobby based wiring experience.
