I recently purchased an Carrier infinity thermostat for my heating and airconditioning system and have a few questionms regarding the wiring of some accesssories.

I would like to wire my Aprilaire 600 directly to my Carrier MPV Infinity furnace. Should I directly wire the the solenoid directly to the furnace circuit board? If so, should the wires got to the two terminals marked DHUM and 24 V Con?

Also, I have a beckett condensing pump with two emergency wires that can be connected to the furnace to that will shut down operations in the event of a malfunction. Can anyone tell me where to wire them to the furnace?

For Hum wiring, simple connect two wires to the 24v terminal on the board. One wire is from humidistat. one wire is from solenoid.

For the condensate pump, simply read the instruction. I've no idea about that.

I like fixing everything.

Interrupt D (red) to the condenser with your condensate pump's float switch.

Thanks. I have a follow up question.

The condening pump has 2 blue wires exiting the unit that require wiring. I understand you are recommending connecting one wire to the Interrupt D (red). Where should the other wire go?

Connect 1 blue wire to condenser D and the other to Furnace D. (Interrupting D to the condenser)
Or, just cut the D wire to the condenser and connect one blue wire to each red. (The color of D should be verified at the furnace terminal block)
This wire carries 24volt power to your condenser from the furnace. If your pump fails it will interrupt 24 volt power to the condenser, removing the water source.

I dont know if you have already installed that thermostat but that wouldnt be my first choice actually my last. The best set up in my opinion is the new honeywell iaq thermostat with the IAQ interface module. The thermostat is touch screen you can operate your humidifier a dehumidification setting and a whole house ventilation control to bring in outside air if you have that set up. Best part is the thermostat only needs three wires. The interface module is a few more wires than that but wiring diagrams are very easy to follow.

The Carrier Infinity control has better communication with Infinity equipment.

I would use a relay to avoid sending 48 volts to your 24 volt solenoid coil.

This WAV is an example.

Thanks for the diagram.

If I leave the humidstat connected, will it effect the the operation of the humidity function on the infinity thermostat? Also, if the humidistat remains connected, what setting should it be on? Can I wire the selenoid directly to the furnace circuit board bypassing the humidstat?

The current sensing relay I purchased only has 2 wires. Any suggestions on how I should wire it?
