I have a Goodman ARUF036-00A-1 Heat pump and a Honeywell RTH3100 t-stat. I installed the t-stat at the beginning of the summer and everything was ok using the AC. Now that the weather is getting colder, I tried turning on the heat and blew my transformer. I have replaced the transformer and installed inline 3amp fuses to the 24V side, but cannot find what is blowing the fuses. Could having my t-stat wired wrong cause this to happen? I can still run my AC without blowing fuses, but as soon as I turn my heat on, I blow a fuse immediately. Terminals are marked: E Aux Y G O L R B C Connections are as follows E=Brown Aux=not used Y=Yellow G=Green O=Orange L=White R=Red B=Blue C=not used
Many Thanks Danny

the blue wire needs to be on c terminal (common) the b terminal is used for heating circuit, your creating a dead short all the blue wires should be hooked to common on furnace or air handler. the W or white wire needs to be moved to aux or w2 as well if its installed on electric ahu this is backup heat strips , or in case of a gas furnace with a properly installed fossil fuel kit is second stage heat using gas, with a lockout feature.
Power is using mind over matter

I agree, move blue to C.
"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
