hello when my oil burner shuts off i hear a sound like a steam sound. have no water leaks i shut off the main feed to see if there is a drop in pressure .pressure stays where it should .burner is runing great water temp great just this sound .any help would be great.

How long does the sound last? It could be water inside the boiler boiling (I assume you have a forced hot water system, not steam). Usually the water will boil for maybe a minute as the firebox cools.

whats the aquastat set for assuming its hydronic? Have you confirmed for sure that the system does not have any traces of air left..... Post more info if possible thanx.
