Hello,
I would like to replace my Lennox thermostat, P/N 36G6901, with a new Honeywell RTH 7600 but the wiring is different. I have a Lennox heat pump with electric emergency heat that is about 18 years old. (There is a Emergency Heat switch on the front of the old Lennox thermostat).

The wiring on my old thermostat is:
R = BLACK
V = BLUE
F = GREEN
M = RED
L = BROWN
A = WHITE
Y = ORANGE (There is a RED jumper that goes into the old Termostat)
X = YELLOW
E = NO WIRE ON TERMINAL

The labels on the new thermostat are RC,R,O/B,Y,G,C,L,E,AUX. RC & R are jumped together.

Can you please tell me how to wire up the new thermostat. Honeywell is suggesting I contact my local HVAC person. Thanks!

Jim

http://www.hvac-direct.com/pdf_files/service/8806.pdf

O/B = black (reversing valve)
Rc & R = blue (24VAC) use supplied jumper
G = green (fan)
Y = red (compressor)
L = brown (LED)
tape off white (old thermister for heating, now obsolete)
Aux & E = orange (electric heat strip) use a jumper
C = yellow (common)

Your new stat must also be configured for heat pump operation.
Option 170 = 7
190 = 0

"Tip of the Day" Remember to remove power first.
