Hello I have an old boiler in my basement. It works great but its an upfeed gravity boiler with no pump. Has two zones. So two feed lines and two return lines. Just wondering if I could add a pump to this system. I've read numerous things about reworking the piping above the boiler and adding a pump on the supply line. Just courious how hard this would be.

get a new boiler and then re pipe it with a pump and then you can probably zone it as well.

Add the pump to the return side... helps the pump to run cooler. You may be able to have one pump and 2 zone valves on the supply side. Have someone come and see the system since much depends on its exact setup and current equipment.
