We just installed a new Coleman EB series Electric Furnace. My husband noticed that even when the blower is not running it still seems to hum, is that normal?

He hooked up the new thermostat but our old one only had 2 wires, 1 red and 1 white. The new furnace shows 1 red, 1 green, 1 white for the furnace. The black and green show for the a/c. He hooked the red to red and white to white but we aren't sure about the green wire do we need to connect it and if so where?

Yes. The power transformer inside the unit can hum.
