My furnace does not always kick on. Even when the thermostat says it it cold enough the furnace does nothing. You do not even hear the ignitor clicking. If I cycle the power to the furnace it starts right up, but that makes for cold nights.

An intermittent problem which is the worst kind. Best to leave it alone when it fails and call a Lennox tech. It may be a faulty thermostat or relay or be locked out from flame failure.
