I have hooked up a new honeywell visionpro thermostat, and I believe I have found the correct wire positions. However, when I am setting it up, i am not sure if this system is a 1heat 1cool heat pump or something else. Can anyone help with this? The wires I have are W2(hooked up to aux) Y, E, C, R, and O. Thanks.

Honeywell makes VisionPro 8000 with multi options
commercial, professional and doit yourself in a box.
1. what is the TH8....... number of the thermostat
2. what type of equipment do you have ie: gas, oil, electric, heatpump, a/c only

sorry I did not read the Message title.
You have a heat pump.
Now I need to know what your furnace is.
gas or oil
electric air handler with or without heat strips.

I have an electric furnace. I assume it has heat strips because it has emergency heat, but I am not sure. Everything is electric.

you have two heat one cool 2h/1c as long as your outdoor unit is single stage.

wire -------- Thermostat
red -- R
white -- W2 & E (use jumper wire)
yellow -- Y
green -- G
blue -- C
orange -- O or B (you did not give outdoor M# & S#)

this is for a basic heatpump with electric heat.

without equipment information ANY BODY can only guess what wires you need to hook up
