I'm looking for a wiring diagram for my furnace. My control board went out and the fan wouldn't kick in on AC. The compressor would, but not the blower motor. So a FRIEND (!!!) of mine bypassed the board so the fan would run, you just have to switch if off manually. I've been laid off and can now afford the board, but he has cut and spliced the fan motor, and safety switch on the cover, and I don't know where the black and white wire's should go on the board when i undo his mess. Any and all help is appreciated.

wow cutting factory wires and rewiring...fun.

the door switch interrupts L1 the main black wire from the junction box to the L1 terminal on the circuit board.

the blower black should go to the Hi on the blower section of the board.

the blower red yellow or blue should go to the Med on the board. usually red and cap off all unused or hook to m1 m2 m3 etc

***** Only ONE fan speed to each terminal or you will short your blower motor.

the blower white should go to any of the neutrals on the board.

If you do not see ALL of these sudjestions do not guess let me now before guessing.

Thanks for your reply, but I may need more info from ya. I see what your saying but I just want to be perfectly clear, don't need to fry the new board. :)

Basicly what he did was close the loop I guess you'd say. He cut the female plug from the white wire that went to the control board, then cut the white wire that went from the door switch to the blower motor, and spliced all three together. I guess that's how it would be wired right? Because the board act's as the switch Did the same on the Black wire. (cut/spliced/3blk) Let me know if you need some detailed pic's or any more info and I'll try and get some uploaded. Again, I appreciate all your help.

the door switch should have only the black wire from the junction box and a black wire going to circuit board.

Pictures would be good

the door switch interrupts the power to the circuit board.

the blower power comes from the circuit board only.
