I have a Payne (PG8MAA) furnace unit. It appears like the unit is kicking on, and gas is blown into the unit, but I don't believe the gas is being ignited. Before I spend $300+ dollars on a service call I'd like to attempt to fix this myself. Is there a wait to test to see if my problem is the igniter or the flame indicator? Again, with my limited (read: none) HVAC knowledge, this is what I believe to be the issue. Any ideas?
