Hi I have an 15 yr old 3 ton heat pump that leaked down to o psi , so we pulled a vacumn on it with valves open checked for leaks none found , so then we tried to recharge the unit , weighed the charge in + added for a 30 line set , as doing so the head pressure was @ 200 psi but the suction pressure Never would come up past 10 psi no matter how much charge we put on it . any ideas on whats wrong ? is it the seals in the compresser gone bad ? thanks in advance for any replys
Thanks meajom1

Yor compressor is doing a fine job with a 190 psig difference in pressure, how did you check for a leak in a vacuum? Check the valves and any where a screen or restriction is, did the filter drier get replaced? check the reversing valve. I had a similar issue and when the evaporator metering device was replaced all was ok, but with a 15 year old unit the restriction could be in the distributer tubes.
Be good to your fellow man not nice there is a difference.
