unit not cooling in heat of day

Postby big phil » Mon Jul 26, 2010 8:00 am

I have a 2005 mobile home with a nordyne split system heat pump. I replaced the compressor about 8 months ago and did the usual acid away, purge, good vaccum, bi flow drier, sight glass and the unit worked fine up until about 1 month ago. It would not maintain temp during the heat of day. Once it cooled down at night it was ok. I inspected unit and found evap coils little dirty. I cleaned them and it worked well for about 2 weeks. Now it is doing the same thing again. Suction pressure was 75 discharge was 225 indoor 80 outside 91. superheat of 13, amp draw on comp 14. 18 degrees of delta t. What am I missing?

If you have a TXV charge the system using subcooling and cleaning the condenser may help with the head pressure
