If the refrigerant in a refrigerator leaks out, is it dangerous to a person *

in large amounts say 5 pds or more in an inclosed space will cause asphyxiation. If lit with fire will burn the hell out of your lungs, if breathed in a direct porposfull way you might die.

Most refrigerator leaks are very slow and not harmful. If a refrigeration line is suddenly punctured you will have all the refrigerant (I assume R-22 or R-12 depending on age) but the amount in a residential refrigerator is not significant.
