infant without air! pls help!!

hi everyone! my name is tori and I'm in a little trouble. I have a 6 month old baby without air conditioning and she basically refuses to eat in this heat and the little bit she does eat she spits up. basically... my air conditioning works, I have it set on 70 degrees but when it's over 80 (it's been 99-101 where I am for three weeks) our air won't get under 80. so it's not broken, does this mean I just need freon or do I have a leak as * because the second it gets a tad cooler at night it cools down in the house. I need information before I hire someone and get screwed! I'm a single mom and my water heater blew two weeks ago and then last week my dryer went, so I have no extra money just flowing around right now if you know what I mean. I appreciate any help and information offered!

First thing, check your air filters. If they are dirty, go buy new ones as soon as you can. If it's an emergency, remove the old air filters. BUT this is for 1 day while you buy replacements. Not having air filters is bad for your AC. But your emergency is more important.
