Thermostat Wiring

Hello,

I had a remote thermostat installed a few years back. It has failed and another one has been installed. I seem to notice my heating system is much quieter. It had been bothering me, blowing very hard and noisy. Uncomfortable heating and cooling. It's a Goodman 92.

With the new thermostat, I notice that I don't even know the heat is on. The temperature is consistent.

Is it possible that the 2 stage wires weren't hooked up correctly that would cause it to run 2nd stage *

From your description, it seems to me the person installing the new thermostat may have adjusted the blower motor speed. I am not familiar with your furnace but if it's not the newest furnace then the blower motor should be a generic PSC motor with taps to set the motor's speed. You might ask the tech who installed the thermostat what he/she did.
