You may need a new motor, if you have an electrical meter you can test the amperage and check it against the name plate to see how much the motor is drawing, but if the motor has always been running at one speed and now it is running slower it may be on it's last legs. If you are not sure of what to do, call a service tech, playing with power can be dangerous.
