nat gas furnace kicks on & off *

hi all. our natural gas forced air furnace will often times kick on for literally 1-2 seconds and then off, only to repeat again 5 seconds later. it will do this the whole "heating cycle", until the thermostat reaches the temp where it tells the furnace to turn off. it has been doing this for at least the past 4 winters.

this cant be good for the furnace / *!

it is a 15 year old Miller furnace.

i hired a "handyman" a couple of winter's ago who said he fixed it....it started doing it again a week later.

before i call a local furnace pro, do any of yall have any ideas what this might *

after spending $ on this problem once before, i want the next time to be the last fix.

of course it hasnt done this since i posted lol ...

but i HAVE looked in beforeand seen the pilot lit / bruner on when it does this.

perhaps i will check youtube, otherwise i might as well hire an expert i reckon.

dont think it has a flame rod.thermocouple may need to be replaced.u have a multimeter.

i live in a mobile home, if that makes a diff in the type of nat gas furnace it might be.

do you have a mechanical thermostat (not digital) *
