That is bad workmanship you got screwed who knows what else is wrong with the unit.

It may look awful but your performance won't be affected. However I strongly recommend you secure the refrigerant lines to the side of the house. Make sure you do not bend the lines. Probably securing them 5 feet below the eves will allow you to move them close enough to the side of the house without any bends or crimping. You don't want the weight of those lines using the eve for support.
