I have a 3 ton heat pump that recently was detected to have a R410 refrigerant leak in the air handler A coil. The A coil was replaced, however its design configuration was different which I do not understand and the manufacturer, Goodman cannot explain. The old A coil had two sets ( one on each side of the A coil) of three strings of copper refrigerant lines. The new A coil has two sets of four strings of aluminum refrigerant lines. Does the new A coil provide better cooling exchange than the old A coil, and will the aluminum lines corrode faster than the old copper tubing and is it a good match for my 3 ton AMANA * Thank you, bernsjo
