Hello just need a little advice please i have Model #A36-10C Janitrol Air handler w/coil
Ac tec says it needs a new Coil.well i found one under my model on sears parts direct
there are 2 on the page 19 and 19A one says just (Coil )and the other says (Coil-evap)
what i was wondering is what is the difference between Coil and Coil-evap or is there any difference?

Thank you

I have a feeling they both are evaporator coils. However one may be a newer version, a revision A. But that is only a guess.

Check the dimensions to be sure they are the same size as the existing coil you have in your air handler.

Did the tech tell you why the coil needed to be replaced? Was it leaking? Possible the coil could be repaired.

You will need the tech to come back and charge the system if you want to replace the coil yourself. I don't know for sure but if you are doing the work yourself, he may be reluctant to charge the system.
